Directed by James Hume, “Time Flies with David Ives” showcases the wit and whimsy of the wordsmith by featuring nine of his most humorous shorts about time.
Among them: mayflies on a date realize they have only 24 hours to live; a washing-machine repairman falls in love with a perfect washer; construction workers remember past lives; an out-of-work schmo decides to spend his day being painter Edgar Degas; how Trotsky died.
The production runs today through Sunday, and Nov. 14 through 17. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Madera South High School theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. For information, contact Ginger Latimer, 675-4450 ext. 1021, or 706-4954.
