An annual Thanksgiving dinner dance put on by parishioners of St. Joachim Catholic Church drew about 100 people to Holy Spouses Hall.
The Saturday evening gathering included raffles, wine and music by DJ. The food was prepared by local Council #3643 of the charitable Catholic fraternal organization the Knights of Columbus, who have officially taken over organizing the decades-long tradition.
“This is the first year that the Knights are officially in charge of it. Last year we kind of were doing the transition to it,” said Rohi Zacharia, a member of the Knights of Columbus.
